WHY ARE ALL those atrocities committed which devastate the civilized world at present? Whence came that consuming hatred between nations which is now engaging the flower of mankind in a deadly struggle? Why is the young blood of Europe now being shed in such unprecedented proportions? Why the ruthless air bombardments of peaceful cities and towns destroying women and children, the aged and disabled? Why the wanton destruction of priceless treasures and property which mankind has laboriously accumulated through the ages? There are bigger stakes involved. The war has now turned to purely ideological issues. It is Hitlerism versus the fundamental rights of man. It is brutal force versus tolerance ; slavery versus freedom. It is whether the world should continue to tolerate the possibility of a one-man rule. In short, it is Hitler versus the world, barbarism versus civilization, the rule of the jungle versus humanitarian principles. Who is this man Hitler? What are his teachings? His philosophy? His ruling system? A comprehensive answer to these questions are laid down by Hitler in his own book "Mein Kampf," which he wrote at the beginning of his political career. That book has since served as the Nazi profession of faith. The teachings of that book are followed by Hitler and his followers with a religious fervor. To understand the real reason for the present World War one must get an inside view of "Mein Kampf." ...
